About Rakesh Srivastava:
Rakesh Srivastava is a gifted Bhojpuri Singer from Gorakhpur. He is son of Bhojpuri Shiromani Mainavati Devi, noted Bhojpuri poet, singer and radio, TV artist. He has released several audio cassettes and VCDs in Bhojpuri. Some of his popular audio cassettes are Sri Chitragupta Chalisa, Chalo Maa Ambe ke darbar, CHaraniya hum chhuabi ho, Saiyan ke jaga da and Hamahoon Jaaib Thave Dhaam. His recent Bhajan VCD is Shiv Gorakhdham, based on Baba Gorakhnath Bhajans.
His public performances include a Bhojpuri Show in Bangkok (Thailand) and special show at Late Rajiv Gandhi's residence in 1989. He is a recognized B-High grade singer from All India Radio and Doordarshan.
