यह कार्यक्रम अत्यंत उत्कृष्ट स्तर का रहा और 25 से भी अधिक कलाकारों ने हिस्सा लिया। मूलत: दक्षिण भारत के श्री शंकर मूर्ति के निर्देशन में रचित इस नृत्य नाटिका की प्रेरणा कालिदास रचित मेघदूत से ली गई है। इस नृत्य नाटिका का लेखन शंकर मूर्ति जी ने किया और इसके क्रिएटिव निर्देशक मानवेन्द्र त्रिपाठी जी ने। कार्यक्रम आयोजन समिति के स्थानीय अध्यक्ष ज्योति प्रकाश गुप्त रहे।

हिन्दी फिल्म कस्तूरी गांव की एक ऐसी बेटी के संघर्ष की कहानी है जो प्रचलित सामाजिक मान्यताओं के विरोध का साहस करती है। तमाम पारिवारिक बन्दिशों के बावजूद अपनी शिक्षा जारी रखती है। फिल्म में लड़कियों की शिक्षा के प्रति समाज की सोच और दहेज समस्या को बड़े ही गंभीर रूप से उठाया गया है। फिल्म के प्रोड्यूसर उदय यादव, सह- निर्देशक विनिता ने फिल्म कस्तूरी के प्रमोशन के दौरान पत्रकारों को बताया कि यह एक हिन्दी फिल्म होते हुए भी भोजपुरी के लोकगीतों और यहां की संस्कृति को फिल्म का आधार बनाया गया हैं। इस फिल्म में सेक्स व हिंसा के मुम्बइया फार्मूले का निषेध किया गया है।

The first feature film produced by the MLA from Bagodar will be ready for release in the first week of October, confirms Vinod Singh, the executive producer of Kastoori. He was already working on the film in Varanasi for Vikalp Communications when his father, the vastly popular Mahendra Singh, was assassinated in January this year, forcing Vinod to abandon the film and plunge into politics. He won his father?s seat effortlessly for the CPI-ML.

The premiere of Bhojpuri film "Julmi Sang Ankhiya ladi" took place at United Talkies, Gorakhpur. Actor-Director Ravi Ujjain and Actress Himakshi (the Dream Girl of Bhojpuri Cinema) were present on the occasion. They were given a rousing welcome by the audience as they came to the stage. The stars proceeded to dance with some of the viewers and recited some dialogues from the movie which drew more applause from the crowd.
