It was quite depressing to find someone addressing citizens of poorvacnhal in one of his letters to this website. I never heard about a country called Porvanchal. I know only one country in India and that is India and again calling any part of India a separate country is basically revolt against the basic concept of the nation.
This guy claims to be journalist and doing PHD!!!!
God save India from these short sighted journalists and PHD students. It good to be proud of your culture etc but pl do remember you should not sound like a regionalist otherwise there is no difference between you and all those traitors who are asking people to leave their state. We have a bigger threat to keep India intact now then it was ever in past.

I am very impressed with the website as it is very informative and, best of all, it has bhojpuri films and songs that keep me connected with my mother tongue even though I was born and bred in Singapore. My parents came from Gorakhpur and settled down in Singapore decades ago. Please keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more bhojpuri songs and films on the website. As you know it is a very well known historical place but you should also that it was a very well established trading market especially of 'GUR' and second largest for 'LEATHER' in U.P. a few years ago. Also well known for 'SARAYA SUGAR MILL' once third biggest sugar mill in ASIA. Let me introduce myself, I belong to a very well known and honoured businessmen family.
