Bhojpuri Language:
Bhojpuri is spoken in the northern Indian region such as western part of states of Bihar, west-northern part ofJharkhand, and the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh and adjoining area of sounthern plain area of Nepal. Bhojpuri is also spoken in Guyana, Suriname, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago and Mauritius and is often said to be the only Indian language to be spoken on all continents. Bhojpuri has evolved as a language from its dialect form and there is a strong demand from people to Government of India is for awarding it a statutory status as one of official Indian Language. Bhojpuri uses words from Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu and other Northern Indian Dialects. Bhojpuri and several closely related languages, including Maithili and Magahi, are known as the Bihari languages, which are part of the Eastern Zone group of the Indo-Aryan languages, which includes Bengali and Oriya. There are several forms of Bhojpuri, including three or four in eastern Uttar Pradesh alone.For example, people in Gorakhpur speak different form as compared to people in Varanasi. However, it is easily understood among themselves.

Bhojpuri Kavita: People in Chauri Chaura and Gorakhpur speak Bhojpuri.This region has given many great writers, poets, sports men and women, leaders and artists to the country. Noted Hindi writers Acharya Ram Chandra Shukla (from Bheri village on banks of Rapti), Dr. Vidya Niwas Mishra, Dr. Ram Darash Mishra and Bhojpuri Poets Moti BA and Ram Nawal Mishra are from this region.
Chaurichaura dot com team visited native village (Dumari) of Shri Ram Nawal Mishra, a known Bhojpuri Kavi and recorded some of his bhojpuri geets for viewers of Chaurichaura dot com. At age of 84 years, Mishra ji is still very active despite of his ill health and attends Kavi Sammelans. Every year on January 2nd, he organises a Kavi Sammelan in his village Dumari to celebrate his birthday.

Bhojpuri Film Award 2005 Official Website : The first ever "Bhojpuri Film Awards" is going to be a hot spot every year where loads of emotions would unfold during the star studded red carpet event. Where many dreams would realize, new dreams would born and new challenges would also be sited.
Motivation behind organizing this Bhojpuri Film Award function is purely to promote and save the sovereignty of bhojpuri art, culture and cinema. Bhojpuri Film Award :
The First Bhojpuri Film Awards turned out to be a Mega Event. The Show started when Sri Dilip Kumar Saheb along with Smt. Saira banu jee, in presence of Govinda and other guests. Rinku Ghosh started the show with saraswati vandana, showing a marvolous dance with Master Kedar and Master Ravi Shankar. Then came a small kid, Dhananjay Pathak, with a nice Bhojpuri Song (Dabe pao aiha...). The Show also had remarkable performances by Prem Prakash, Soma banerjee(Gori aankhiya tohari...), Dipali(chhuk chandawa se..), Hemlata jee (kauno disha me leke...), Luvy (Maar deb goli...), Mohini (Dilli ki shardi), Sadhana Singh, Sapna Awasthi (pardeshiya, chali re chali...), Chandani Chopra (hansi ke tu dekha jo ek beria...), Ravi Kishan & Nagma (Tohar lahanga uthaib remote se...) and several others.
